Acclaim Counseling Center, LLC
State of Colorado License No. 1671-00
Depending on multiple factors (such as your
blood alcohol level at the time of the DUI and if you’ve had multiple DUI
offenses) you will be assigned to complete a certain number of DUI group
hours. This could range from a 12
hour class completed on the weekend to up to a year of group treatment. Your counselor will talk with you about
this during your registration appointment.
You will not be able to take more than one
class a week.
Because attending the class is a part of your
probation requirements, class attendance is mandatory. We understand an emergency may arise
which would keep you from attending a class. You are required to call and inform us of your absence as soon as possible.
Missed classes can be made up. Unexcused
absence(s) may affect your eligibility and result in discharge. Discharge will have an effect on your
probation.
Acclaim Counseling uses a sliding scale fee
(per class) based on your income.
For current fees, please contact us at 303.451.2321 or e-mail acclaimcounseling@gmail.com.
Phone lines are open Tuesday – Friday, 10 am to 5 pm or Saturday, 9 am to noon. Class fees are
collected before each class. Someone will talk with you about this during your
intake (registration) appointment.
Depending on how many hours of DUI services
you are assigned, you will participate in educational classes or treatment
groups. There are generally 10-12
people in a class/group.
Your counselor will ask you to sign a consent to release information, giving us your permission
to talk to whomever referred you.
With your permission, Acclaim will send them notice when you have
completed the classes.
This will depend on what is required as a
condition of your probation.
